Cherish our Differences

Hey, guys!
I hope you're all ready to start off this week. As I was driving home from school on Friday, my roommate and I were talking about what it would be like if everyone were the same. Quite the topic, huh? I thought I would share how I feel about it on this blog.

Could you imagine what it would be like if everyone in this world were the same? What would happen if everyone practiced the same religion, or if everyone voted for the same people? What if everyone rooted for the same sports team or even drove the same kind of car everyday? I think that society today would be so dull and boring, it would be ridiculous. People. including myself, take for granted all of the differences that make this world livable in each and every day. I constantly think that people should do the same things as I do; but then I got to realizing how selfish that sounds. If everyone were to live their lives the EXACT same way as you do, there would be nothing interesting to discuss; nothing new to learn. Our differences are what makes us UNIQUE; they are what separate you from  the billions of other people; our differences are like our external DNA that allows us to be different than other people. Be proud of what you believe and the differences you have from others. After all, you are who you are.

I am a Lutheran, a Twins fan, a nursing student, a Cobber, and a toddler teacher. What are you?
Love, Sarah Allison
